I left MHS my senior year and was married to
Dean Tedford a nice young man in the Air Force from Minnesota. I
had met him in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. We were married for 15
years before he died in September 1975 on his last duty day with
the USAF from a cerebral aneurysm. We were stationed in
California at the time and I moved back to Madison for a few
months before deciding to move to Montgomery, AL to be close to
an Air Base for the medical benefits. I rear two sons and two
daughters. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
Troy State University, and worked until I retired from Jackson
Hospital in Montgomery as a certified Orthopedic nurse. I have
had the fortune to be able to travel the world and have traveled
all fifty states. I love meeting new people and learning new
cultures of the world. I have had the opportunity to visit with
families from England, Germany, New Zealand, Russia, and Korea.
I have also hosted families from these regions. I have traveled
China, Australia, Mongolia, most of Europe, Morocco, Siberia,
Russia Far East, Central America, and Canada. After being
widowed for over 30 years I have another Dean in my life. We are
engaged to be married.
