Mark H. Clifton-age 73 of the Halls Community of Knoxville
went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, August 10, 2023 at Fort
Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member and worship leader
of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Powell. Mark had a heart for
Jesus, a heart for worship and a heart for loving people. He didn’t
meet a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to a person in
need. He had a strong hope in the Lord, and shared that hope until
the Lord brought him home. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Paul and Ann Clifton. Survivors: wife, Connie Clifton of Knoxville;
sons, Mark D. Clifton and wife, Laura; Corey Clifton and wife,
Laura, all of Maynardville; daughters, Jessica Garcia; Jenny Rivera
and husband, Joe, all of Seattle, Washington. Six grandchildren,
Indigo, Josh, Emily, Haley, Asher, Saylah and also one on the way.
Two-great-grandchildren, Jayce and Juniper. Sister, Missy Pirtle and
husband, Dalvin of Springfield, Tennessee. Several nieces, nephews
and cousins along with a host of friends. A Celebration of Life will
be held 6 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at Overflow Gathering, 3110
Shipe Road, Mascot, Tennessee with Rev. Brad Beeler officiating. The
family will have a private burial at Narrow Ridge Cemetery in
Washburn. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
