ELDRIDGE, Mary Jane Wright Of
Nashville, TN. December 28, 2006. Preceded in death by parents,
Harold and Nellie Mae Hines Wright. Survived by, husband, Billy H.
Eldridge; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, many dear
friends. Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday,
December 30, 2006 in Section 11 at Spring Hill Cemetery. Retired
from the Metropolitan Nashville Schools System, Dr. Jane Wright
Eldridge distinguished herself as a professional educator and coach
of high school public speakers, who were recognized for their
accomplishments locally, regionally and nationally. In addition to
being an elected member of The Tennessee Teachers' Hall of Fame and
The Barkle Forum at Emory University, she was inducted into the
Coaches' Hall of Fame of The Tennessee High School Speech and Drama
League. She was also recognized for her coaching excellence by The
National Forensic League with its prestigious Eight Diamond Coach
Award as well as being honored as a member of The National Forensic
League Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the Clayborn Chapter 8
of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tennessee Mu Chapter of
Alpha Delta Kappa teachers' sorority. In lieu of flowers you are
